Plus size Model, Actress, and Writer, Tracie Collins, is gearing up to present an unparalleled display of style, beauty and class with the first ever plus-size fashion gala in the area.

This groundbreaking event hosted by Quiet Storm 102.9 KBLX-FM radio personality, Sterling James, kicks off Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Midtown Ballroom, with VIP red carpet arrivals that leads into a champagne hour meet and greet beginning at 6:00 PM; followed by a runway extravaganza that will showcase affordable fashion forward apparel from plus-size retailers such as Ashley Stewart, Igigi, Marie Denee, and Corinthia Peoples Designs.

Attendees will be treated to an unforgettable after party at the venue that will include live entertainment, cash bar, hors d’oeuvres, and the opportunity to shop retailers from the show.

Advertising sponsors of Kiss the Curves includes, Clear Channel Radio, PLUS Model Magazine,102.9 KBLX-FM, Ashley Stewart, SKORCH Magazine and Black Entertainment Monthly.

According to executive producer, Tracie Collins, “Kiss the Curves was created out of necessity. This area is the third leading city in the nation for fashion and entertainment but local fashion shows rarely include fuller figures. There should be a better representation of plus-size women in this region since we make up more than half of the consumer population. Kiss the Curves will help jump start this local initiative.”
